  • The fiber in oat is consisted of soluble and insoluble fiber. They are present respectively as half of the total fiber constituents. Among of them the soluble fiber help to keep away  the blood cholesterol level. After reaching in the stomach or gastrointestinal tract oatmeal gets combination with some bad cholesterol substances to form gel which prevent the low density lipoprotein or bad cholesterol  to be absorbed into blood without lowering the high density lipoprotein or good cholesterol in blood.Oat is rich in antioxidant named tocotrienol which prevent the synthesis of cholesterol.   •  An active component named beta-glucan in oat fiber help to minimize the blood sugar level. After digestion it produce gel to help increase the small intestine and help reduce the absorption of carbohydrate, lipid into blood. So oatmeal can help to stable the blood sugar level by this way.
  • There is a lot of phytochemicals known as lignan which are present in oat have excellent carcinogenic property. They promote lower the risk of development of carcinogens in case of breast cancer and also in prostate cancer, ovarian cancer.
