THE AMAZING BENEFITS OF NEEM

     Neem is definitely god gifted herbal in this planet. It helps to keep away all the diseases and health problems. In ayurvedic pharmacy neem has been considered as nivarini or arishtha because it can solve many type of diseases. It is also amazing that all parts of neem such as leaves, fruits, fruit-seed oil, roots and bark are found to have therapeutic action both on internal and external part of the body.
     Neem consists of all the aerial parts of plant known as Azadirachta indica belonging to Meliaceae family.
Neem benefits
  • The active constituents of neem belong to the classes diterpenes i.e. sugiol, nimbiol present in bark, triterpenes i.e. beta sitosterol, stigmasterol in leaf. Maliantriol, nimbidinine, nimbendiol, azadiractin also found in seed oil and seed kernels. Some sulphurous compounds like cyclic tri and tetra sulphides are present in leaves.It has been studied scientifically reported that it contains different chemicals which have insect repellant, insecticide, antifeedant, nematicide and anti-microbial properties. NImbin, nimbidin and related compounds possess anti-viral property. It is indicated in rheumatism and also as pesticide and in medicated soaps for skin diseases. It is also spermicidal.
  • Neem leaf is found to have excellent anti fungal, anti microbial, anti bacterial properties to remove itching, irritation, dryness and to treat the dandruff. If you have skin prone to acne just use the paste of neem leaves. It can wipe out the bacteria from the root of acne area and prevent the development of pimples. It has the excellent healing property of wounds and also has the antiseptic property. The extract of boiled neem leaves is more effective in itching, irritation on skin. The paste in musk acts as skin exfoliants which has the capability of swipe away all the impurities from the skin pores and tighten them. 
  • Because of having antiseptic property the neem extract can be used in infection in mouth cavity specially gum infections. Neem seed oil is used as a component in toothpaste, oral solution for mouthwash, oral formulations for healing the infection.
  • Again you will be surprised that dry neem leaf or bark helps to keep away the mosquito, insect from your house. If you burn the dry leaves, the smoke can remove all the mosquitoes and as resembling to another harmful mosquito coil smoke, this neem smoke does not leave any bad effect in lungs.
